I started selling on eBay in 1999 selling things from around the house and from yard sales and thrift shops. It was great fun, so I started telling friends about it. 

They were all intrigued, but when I suggested they try it, they always said, "It sounds like something I'd like to try some time, but I don't know how to use eBay."

After hearing it a few times, I got the idea to try teaching it. So, I sent a proposal to the Sandwich Community School and taught my first class in January 2002. 

 Since then, I have taught hundreds of people how to buy and sell on eBay and the class is always full.

In 2004, eBay started a "train the trainers" program so some of my classes were taught under the "Education Specialist Trained by eBay" logo using courses and materials originally developed by eBay University.

Effective 8/2/2010, I have chosed to end my relationship with the eBay Education Specialist program. I will still offer classes, but will be using my own curriculum and materials.
